Rationalizing Group Thinking

Group think can attempt to rationalise away descrepant info to protect existing assumptions to maintain "influential advocate's vested interests", can reject non conformist view points to reinforce decisions of stereotypes, can adopt self censorship of deviations from the apparent group consensus, can give a shared illusion of unanimity concerning judgments, and most of all the emerging of self appointed mind guards to abstain the org from adverse info that might shatter their complacency about the morality of the decision.
