Nano Moves

NANOBlOTECHNOLOGY

How biology feels at the nanometer scale:

1- biological shapes at the nanoscale: carbon and water are the essential
2- lnertia and gravity are insignificant: the swimmimg bacterium
3- random thermal motion

The machinery of the cell:
1- sugars are used for energy - but also structure: Glucose
2- fatty acids are used for structure - but also energy: Phospholipids
3- nucleotides are used to store information and carry chemical energy: Deoxyribonucleic(DNA), Adenosine triphosphate (ATP)
4- Aminoacids are used to make proteins: ATP synthase

Applications of Nanobiotechnology
1- Biomimetic Nanostructures
2- Molecular Motors
